CSA program information click here! Sponsored by Northwest Agriculture Business Center, Greenbank Farm Management Group & Port of Coupeville, and Washington State Unitversity and Tilth, this program for Community Supported Agriculture will utilize 8 acres of certified organic land at Greenbank Farm for training in organic farming. Classes will begin again for the 2010 season, and harvests of the should begin again in May.

22, 23    Join the Shifty Sailors and other Shanty groups as they put on a two day concert and workshop series.

Friday the 22nd - Concert begins at 7 pm with Shifty Sailors, Chris Roe, the Cutters, Tom Lewis, the Rural Characters and Dan Maher.

Saturday workshops will be noon - 5, with a concert that evening from 7-9:30.

First Friday Wine and Art Evening

Start your weekend off right with First Fridays at the Farm! Meet friends and come enjoy the community spirit at Greenbank Farm. Don't miss out on this tasting at the Greenbank Farm Wine Shop and Tasting Room. Doug Peterson, the winemaker from Edmonds winery in Woodenville will be pouring a wonderful selection of his wines in our fun, casual environment. This is a new winery for the Farm Wine Shop, so come by and say hello. Peruse the art galleries for wine and snacks, music  and art. Visit the Greenbank Cheese shop where you can sample artisan cheeses and local treats. We will be sponsoring an Italian Dinner in the Barn as a fundraiser for wine shop expansion. Billy D from Island Concierge Service will offer ceasar salad, a choice of meat or vegie lasagna, vegetables and bread for $18. Local bakers will have wonderful desserts to offer, and Dean Hatt will be on hand to provide music so perhaps some dancing will be in store! Red Wine & Chocolate Tasting & Sweetheart Market. In conjunction with the Whidbey Island Vintners Red Wine and Chocolate Tour, Greenbank Farm Wine Shop will host FishTalk Vineyards' red wines. The Farm Wine Shop will also have a wonderful selection of red wines for you to fall in love with from our shop as well as several other wines for tasting that will be available by the taste along with Greenbank Farm Loganberry Wine and a sample of the wonderful Loganberry Chocolate Truffles from Chocolates by George, who is a sponsor of the event at the Farm.

Also, throughout the weekend at the Greenbank Farm Market inside the historic 1904 Barn experience Belgian chocolates and fudge, stroll through the market of handcrafts, art, photography and gourmet foods created by local artisans to find special gifts for your Valentine. 3, 4 Whidbey Garden Faire - Spring is in the air and garden time is on the mind! Visit with Whidbey Island landscapers, nurseries and garden artists. Begin dreaming and planning your garden room. Get ideas for your patio container, garden and flower bed highlights. The Garden Faire is a one day event held inside the barn from 10am-5pm on Saturday. TBD Spring Wine Tasting and Market - Join the fun at Greenbank Farm this weekend. Local painters, photographers, handcrafters, growers and producers bring the creativity of Whidbey and the region to this market. Sunday Farmers Market - Many colorful banners will welcome you from the highway when you turn into this outdoor market. The vendors are here every Sunday 11am-3pm and bring their creative wares, art, and produce to market. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you discover what is here or have a picnic in the food area. 24, 25 LOGANBERRY FESTIVAL - The Farm's annual wine tasting with up to 20 Puget Sound wineries, a beer tent and music and art extravaganza! The field is filled with artists, artisans, and craftspeople while local musicians entertain. There are food booths by local folks and a play area for the children. Check each day's schedule for the loganberry pie-eating contest! Join us both days. Saturday will be open later for music and fun. PROST! PROST! PROST! OKTOBERFEST Fundraiser at the Farm! - Come and support the Farm at the 4th Annual Oktoberfest fundraiser. Enjoy "wunderbar" German Bier and Wine with German fare including bratwurst and pretzels. Top notch entertainment with the will be rocking the Old Red Barn! Dance, eat, drink and be merry with German Polkas. Greenbank Farm staff, board and volunteers will be donning their lederhosen and dirndls' at this event which will raise funds for the continued preservation of the Farm.  Tickets $15 adults includes cover charge and your meal authentic German food. Garden Club Plant Sale - Come enjoy Fall at the farm! See what is available for planting for those early spring blooms! Open from 10 am to 2 pm.

Horses Trials for Trails are scheduling another Horse Trials Clinic in the west fields.

Soroptimist International of South Whidbey Island will do a fundraising event this evening starting at 6:30 in the Barn. "Purses With a Purpose" - bid on fabulous purses filled with wonderful items and support the good works of the Soroptimists group. Call Jennifer at 331-6006 for more information.

Halloween Costume Parade and Pumpkin Patch-  Pick your pumpkin from the Farms organic pumpkin patch! Grown by  the CSA farmers training students. Family fun and costume parade from 1pm - 3pm at the Jim Davis House. Trick or treat at the Farm and visit the wine shop for the Grapes & Ghouls weekend wine event by Whidbey Island Vintners Association! Also, Sno Isle Regional Library will be holding a fund raising event that afternoon in the Barn, prepare to meet Edgar Allen Poe and taste some treats and sample some wines while you support the local library foundation.

Weaver's Guild Show and Sale-Uncommon Threads 4 - A community of fiber artists offers unique weaving, spinning, dyeing, basketry, felting and jewelry. November 6th weaver's guild show and sale will be happening in conjunction with First Fridays at the Farm.  Come enjoy the artistry, cheese and wine tasting as the farm will be open late.

Holiday Gift Market - Three more weekends of Greenbank Farm's Holiday Market continue into December so you can complete your gift shopping in time for your festivities. New vendors each weekend join in with returning vendors to bring a wide variety of art, photography, handmade crafts and gourmet foods to fill the barn, loft and annex! You never know when we may get a visit from Santa! Hours are from 10am - 5pm. Local musicians provide music throughout the market dates.
